Set your perfect scene

Program your ADT-monitored home automation features—including your smart thermostat—to work in sync with each other to activate customized “scenes” at particular times of the day. You can set singular or recurring scenes based upon your daily schedule:

  • Bedtime: Doors locked, indoor lights turned off, security system armed, and thermostat adjusted until morning.
  • Good Morning: Door unlocked (if you need to let the dog out), indoor lights turned on, thermostat adjusted.
  • Home from Work: Lights turned on, thermostat adjusted, security system unarmed, garage door opened.
  • On Vacation: Security system armed, temperature adjusted, and lights turned on/off at specific times of the day so your home appears occupied.

If you ever don’t want a particular scheduled scene to activate (say, you’re coming home much later from work thanks to rush hour traffic), no worries. Your ADT-monitored system includes geo-fencing technology, so your scenes will activate only when the Control app on your phone is close enough to trigger them. You can also create automated scenes if your fire or carbon monoxide detector are set off—your preset automations will unlock doors and windows for a quick escape, and your smart thermostat can turn off your air to prevent the circulation of toxic smoke and gas throughout your home.
